Paul Van Genderen | Robert Paul Van Genderen was born in 1957 in the Netherlands. His family emigrated the US through Ellis Island January 1, 1961. Paul joined the USAF in March 1977 and was originally stationed at Edwards AFB in California and witnessed the development of new technologies, including the Space Shuttle program, in the late 1970s. He later served in the Air Force Systems – Air Training Command in CONUS (Continental United States) as an air traffic controller. Paul attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and earned his Air Traffic Controller Wings. He served until March 1987. Paul and his wife Laurie have lived in Delanco since 1992.
